Stripe Access Drift Check, n8n pack

Hourly n8n check: get one Slack alert when a paying Stripe customer is locked out of your app.

Webhooks fail quietly: an outage, a rotated secret, a broken deploy, events out of order. You find out when a customer emails, or disputes the charge.

This workflow reads your Stripe subscriptions with a read-only restricted key and your app's access list, and reports paying-but-locked-out customers first, then double billing, unlinked payers and access without payment (for review; it never revokes anyone).

It is built not to cry wolf: a failed Stripe call or export says "could not run", not "drift", and an empty export, a test key against live data, or the wrong account is flagged as a config problem with findings withheld.

Who it's for

What's tested

• 33/33 end-to-end checks on a real n8n 2.45.7 and 33/33 on a real n8n 3.0.1 (the official image run in a chroot), including the hourly schedule firing on its own
• 20/20 unit tests of the comparison logic and 21/21 static checks of the workflow file
• 1/1 SQL test: the Supabase export view on real Postgres (PGlite); only the server key can read it

What isn't tested

• Stripe and Slack were mocked (a local mock Stripe API with real cursor pagination); no live Stripe account, so real rate limits and accounts over 5,000 subscriptions were not tested
• A real Supabase REST endpoint
• n8n Cloud, queue mode and Postgres-backed n8n

Requirements

Self-hosted n8n 2.x or 3.x (tested on 2.45.7 and 3.0.1). A Stripe restricted key with Subscriptions: Read. An HTTPS endpoint that returns your users as JSON (Supabase view included). A Slack incoming webhook.

How to use it

In n8n, choose Workflows > Import from File and pick workflow/stripe-access-drift-check.json, then follow SETUP.md.
